ITALY week 8-9

Hi everyone!
Now it really feels the seasons soon will be on. I just got home from Italy were Ive been the last 2 weeks for MX training, we ride 8 days in perfect conditions.
We arrived at the track in Mantova just before 4pm on wednesday week 8, so we hurry to get the bikes ready and ride intill 5pm when they closed.  It was really fun to ride a real track in good conditions. We stayed in Mantova and rode thursday and friday. I rode many long distance sessions and also some staqrt +2laps intervals. I felt aggressive on the bike and had alot of fun. After these 3 days of riding my hands started to hurt so many I should have been taking it a little more calm the first days.

On saturday the had the day of, so my, my sister and dad went to Venice. It was tough to find a parkingspot cuz their were a carneval in the city that day. But we found a spot some kmīs away and took a boat in to the city. It was alot of  people and tight streets. The buildings were much older then I had thought, but I guess thats just Venice. But itīs fun to have been there.

The day after we rode on a pretty small track nearby a city called Montagnana. But it was fun and the track had alot of jumps. There were alot of people riding that day and it was all kind of types. One I really enjoyed watching was a man in jeans and an old sweater, the helmet looked like an old skihelmet från -83.

Monday and we had the day off and just went out running for about 40min. It felt really nice to run outside instead of the gym back home.

Thuesday week 9. We rode on the track of Faenza. which is a reallt hard packed track with alot of hills. I had some trouble to find good lines etc. arounf the track but after awhile it felt much better and I rode in a fairly good phase. Wednesday we also rode on Faenza, I did some long distance sessions and some start +2laps intervals. There were some riders I recognize froms the GPīs and I tried to watch and learn. These kind of tracks are quite new to me and itīs a challenge to ride on. But these 2 days were very rewarding for me.

Thursday was a day off.

On friday we rode on Mantova again, I really like this track and had alot of fun all day long.

The last day of training was saturday and we were on a track up in the north of Italy. The track was next to a rock face and it was very beautiful. This day was the hottest, over 35 degrees in the sun. But we started riding at 9.30am, and it was very slippery at the start but the track became dry quite fast. It was a fun track and I rode 3 long distance sessions at about 80-90% of my capacity.

Before we went down we were abit concern about the weather but it was absolutly great, around 15 degrees in the shadow and sunny almost all days long.

Ride hard!!!

Anders
